Bryneithin Closing?

I hear that the Bryneithin home in DP is closing.

It's reported in the gem that this is not yet "agreed" but i hear its happening.

Does anyone care anymore?

Re: Bryneithin Closing?

This was disclosed business that was primarily set up as a preliminary excersise for the purpose to try to recover owed revenue of this estate.

We did recieve several inspirited proposals from a wide varied industry.

The consequence of an industrial estate being established within the outskirts of our centeral community is obviously a matter to be decided by town planners.

This excercise has shown that even though we conceive ourselves to be an enlaged hamlet, it is obvious to the commercial sector that we are recognised as a future town for commerce by these successful multinational companies.

If this venture fails we can work together to attract a more prospective venue.

Re: Bryneithin Closing?

ok. im lost here.... so please bare with me?

in para 1 - what does "disclosed business" mean in this context?

reading para 3 - do you really mean that an "industrial estate" is being considered where Bryneithin is?

going back to para 2... where can i find out about these "inspirited proposals"?

back to para 1 again - any idea who owns Bryneithin? and the estate? what revenue do they need to collect?

any idea how the people who are there are going to be looked after?

have i got the wrong end of the stick here? Is this post definitely related to Bryneithin?

sorry to grill you but this sounds important

Re: Bryneithin Closing?

The Vale of Glamorgan Council is saying that this "unique" home is
not fit for purpose. I say that the Vale Council is not fit for purpose as the
money needed now to make it fit for purpose is money that over the years has
been held back by the council -  they have been negligent and extremely short -
sighted. Dementia is a ticking time-bomb and Bryneithin is the only specialist
home in the Vale! (A feather in their cap if the council had the forsight to see
that given the increased interest by the Govt. in Alzheimers) They cannot say
where the present residents are going to go. Why not?
There is a petition running in Dinas Powys please sign it in order to stop the
council from evicting the residents out of their home.
